My sewing journey started when I was just a little girl. I’d sit with my Nana every chance I got, watching her work her magic.
She was an incredible dressmaker, creating stunning gowns for weddings, balls, and just about anything else people could dream up.
She would patiently walk me through everything she was doing, and I soaked it all up like a sponge.
But, as a teenager, life got busy and sewing took a backseat for a while.
It wasn’t until years later that I bought my own sewing machine. I’ll never forget sitting down at it for the first time—I honestly had no idea what I was doing! But as soon as I started my first project, it felt like Nana was right there beside me, guiding me again. It all started coming back.
From there, I wanted to keep learning and improving, so I dove into all kinds of sewing classes. My skills grew, and I started to dream about how I could turn this passion into something more. I realized the long commutes and daily grind weren’t for me anymore—I needed a change. That’s when I decided to share what I’d learned by doing alterations, and before I knew it, people started asking me to teach them how to sew on their own machines.
Fast forward to today, and I’m still loving every minute of sewing—but teaching it? That’s where my heart really is. Now, I offer a range of sewing classes to suit everyone: One-to-One Classes, Online Video Lessons, and Group Workshops at venues all around Ireland.
My teaching style focuses on coaching, positivity, and making sewing as enjoyable as possible.
So here I am, still sewing, still teaching, and loving every step of this journey.
